THE DIFFERENCE

Manual vs. Machine

A side-by-side look at what sets our hand-crafted process apart from standard alternatives.

FEATURE POMY'S MANUAL MULTI-COAT STANDARD MACHINE PRINT
THICKNESS Heavy-duty, multi-layered Paper-thin, single layer
DURABILITY Fused into fibers; peel-resistant Prone to cracking and peeling
GRIP POWER Maximum (≈30% less muscle effort) Moderate — heavy squeezing required
BREATHABILITY High — geometric flex gaps allow airflow Low — often solid silicone sheets
COLD WEATHER Superior "Instant-Tack" from first touch Needs friction to warm up first

Common questions

No — when properly cared for, the multi-layer silicone is manually fused into the fabric fibers and will not peel. The key is cold water only, no fabric softener, and air drying. Fabric softener is the "stick killer" and will degrade the grip.

With proper care, our hand-applied coating significantly outlasts single-layer machine-printed alternatives. Over time, heavy friction may cause gradual wear. Inspect your leggings before each session—especially before attempting high-altitude inversions.

For maximum safety, the leggings must fit like a second skin. If the fabric moves against your leg, grip is reduced. We recommend **sizing down** if you're between sizes—a snug fit ensures the silicone bonds you to the pole effectively.

Absolutely. For beginners, the grip reduces the muscular effort required to hold, helping you build technique and confidence while protecting against painful "pole burn" and bruising.

Grip enhances
Strength leads

Pomy's silicone is a technical performance tool, not a substitute for proper technique. Please follow these guidelines for every session.

01
Muscle Engagement is Mandatory
Always engage your core and adductors. Our grip enhances your strength—it does not replace it. Never rely solely on the fabric to hold your weight.
02
Test Before Every Invert
Perform a low-level climb before attempting inversions. Clean your pole with rubbing alcohol; oils and lotions will make any silicone slippery.
03
Ensure a Tight Fit
If leggings are too loose, the fabric may slide while the silicone stays stuck. Always ensure a "second-skin" fit for maximum stability.
LIABILITY WAIVER: We are not responsible for injuries resulting from improper use or lack of training. Pole dancing is high-risk; always train with a spotter or crash mat.
